🎣 Pacific Dream Fishing Report – Happy Hooker Sport Fishing 🎣

Today the F/V Pacific Dream left the dock with 25 anglers and headed down the San Mateo coastline, where we found wide-open rockfish action! The rockfish were eager to bite, and although we had to work a little harder for the lingcod, we picked away at them throughout the day, with most coming as incidentals on shrimp flies tipped with squid.

We wrapped up the day with 25 limits of quality rockfish and 12 lingcod! Another fun day on the water with a fantastic group of anglers.

A huge shout-out to Stephanie Overbay of Overbay Café, who absolutely threw down in the galley! Despite the blustery weather and an unstable platform, she kept everyone well-fed and smiling with delicious breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, hot coffee all day long, cheeseburgers, and her incredible cheeseburger & beef brisket sandwich combo.

Looking ahead, both the Happy Hooker and Pacific Dream will be offering potluck trips, targeting rockfish, striped bass, halibut—or all of the above—as conditions allow, along with dedicated rockfish and lingcod trips through August 1, when we’ll switch over to salmon for a short opener.
